What the work involves
- Swallowing evaluation and dysphagia management, including diet-texture recommendations and caregiver training on safe feeding.
- Aphasia, apraxia, and dysarthria treatment following stroke or brain injury.
- Cognitive-communication assessment and treatment for patients with memory, attention, or executive-function change.
- Voice and fluency caseloads, and augmentative or alternative communication where speech is not a realistic route.
- Documentation in our EMR, with AI assistance built in to reduce charting time.

Pay, schedule, and support
- You set the caseload. As a 1099 clinician you choose your visits, hours, and coverage area — from one patient at a time to a full load.

Mixed — dysphagia and post-stroke communication make up much of it, alongside cognitive-communication work and voice. Referrals come from home health, hospice, and waiver programmes, so the range is wider than a single setting.
Do you accept clinical fellows?
Positions ask for a current Texas licence and ASHA CCC-SLP. If you are completing your fellowship year, contact us about timing rather than assuming the answer.
