Physical Therapist — Dallas, TX
About the Role
As a Dallas PT, you build individualized plans of care, treat patients one-on-one in their homes, and document through our proprietary EMR on the day of service. No productivity quotas, no rotating staff — just a consistent caseload, an interdisciplinary team backing you up, and a schedule you help shape.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients throughout Dallas County and surrounding North Texas suburbs
- Design and deliver plans of care for post-surgical joint replacement, stroke, CHF, and deconditioning patients
- Coordinate with our in-house OTs, SLPs, RDs, RNs, and LCSWs on shared-patient plans
- Deliver gait training, balance retraining, and functional mobility work in the home environment
- Educate caregivers on transfers, exercise progression, and safe ambulation
- Document visits in our proprietary EMR on the same day as the visit
- Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences for complex patients
Requirements
- Active Texas Physical Therapist license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Reliable transportation and valid Texas driver’s license with clean MVR
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience (home health or acute care preferred)
- Experience with neuro rehab, post-surgical orthopedics, or cardiac rehab valued
- Comfortable with mobile EMR and basic technology
Why Universal Rehab in Dallas
Dallas home-health PT is a big, referral-rich market — and most clinicians here grind through high-volume clinics that chew up their one-on-one time. We're the opposite: we hand you a caseload of your chosen size, hand you a proprietary EMR that doesn't fight you, and pay you weekly. Our physical therapy service line is built around PTs who want to do the work they were trained to do.
What Physical Therapy Looks Like in Dallas
Dallas has one of the densest concentrations of health systems in Texas — UT Southwestern Medical Center, Baylor Scott & White, Texas Health Resources, Methodist Dallas, and Children's Health all anchor the metro's healthcare landscape. Home-health PT here covers a remarkable breadth of diagnoses — post-joint-replacement orthopedics, stroke and TBI recovery, post-surgical cardiac care, and chronic pain and deconditioning across the metro's aging population. The city's geography (Central Expressway running north, LBJ Freeway east-west, and the DART lines) makes logical sub-area coverage possible, so you're not driving from Lewisville to Mesquite and back every day.
Schedule, Pay, and Benefits
- Set your caseload — one patient a week to a full schedule
- Choose sub-area coverage: East Dallas/Lake Highlands, North Dallas/Preston Hollow, Richardson/Plano, South Dallas/Duncanville, or Mesquite/Sunnyvale
- Weekly direct-deposit payroll with transparent per-visit rates
- Proprietary EMR designed by clinicians
- 24/7 clinical support line — real people
- Active referral incentive program for clinicians on payroll
