Occupational Therapist Assistant — Dallas, TX
About the Role
As a Dallas OTA, you carry out OT plans of care, document visits in our EMR, and stay in active communication with supervising OTs. Our OT-founded company treats assistants as full team members. Geographic flexibility across Dallas County, Richardson, Plano, Mesquite, and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver OT interventions prescribed by supervising OTs — ADL training, exercise, adaptive equipment
- Document patient visits in our proprietary EMR on day of service
- Maintain active communication with OTs through shared notes
- Educate caregivers on transfers, adaptive strategies, and daily-living routines
- Progress patients through OT plans under supervision
- Cover patients across assigned Dallas sub-areas
- Participate in team in-services and annual competency reviews
Requirements
- Active Texas OTA license
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Reliable transportation and valid Texas driver’s license
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable with mobile EMR
