Registered Dietitian — Waco, TX
About the Role
Our Waco-area RDs deliver real home-based medical nutrition therapy. You see pantries, build realistic plans, and coordinate with our SLPs on dysphagia and our nurses on enteral/parenteral cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home nutrition assessments
- Deliver medical nutrition therapy for diabetes, CKD, heart failure, cancer, and malnutrition
- Plan and monitor enteral and parenteral nutrition
- Coordinate with our in-house SLPs on dysphagia texture-modified diets
- Provide dietary staff training for partner facilities as needed
- Document visits in our proprietary EMR
- Educate family caregivers on meal planning
Requirements
- Active RD credential with CDR
- Active Texas Licensed Dietitian
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and valid Texas driver’s license
- Enteral/parenteral experience valued
- Bilingual Spanish appreciated

What Dietitian Work Looks Like in Waco
Central Texas drives a strong RD caseload. You'll manage poorly-controlled Type 2 diabetes cycling through ER visits, CKD patients new to dialysis through DaVita/Fresenius units and area nephrology programs (the metro's healthcare anchor is Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest), oncology nutrition for cancer patients transitioning home, and tube-feeding management for stroke and head-and-neck cancer patients.
